MTOclean was founded in 1988 as Maids to Order, operating primarily as a residential maid service company.

In July of 2004, Maids to Order was acquired by Merrymeeting Inc. (MMI), an investment firm specializing in the acquisition and development of franchised brands.Soon after the acquisition, MMI management recognized the need for a one-stop cleaning service provider in both residential and commercial markets that delivered the Personal Touch experience. With this new vision for the organization, the Company name and logo changed to MTOclean, reflecting both our past and future: We are still "the personal touch people", but now we do so much more to solve client's cleaning needs.
